As we head towards the club’s 12th season of development football, we wanted to get an early communication out to our members to provide some important updates in advance of our return to training.
With 11 teams competing in the 2026/27 season and nearly 150 young people training/playing football each week, our club is an established presence and community with an excellent reputation!! Thank you so much for being part of Hursley Youth FC and making it such a special place!
Welcome
Hursley Youth FC was founded in 2015 with an objective of ensuring our young people – regardless of age or ability – have a safe, pleasant and friendly environment in which to play, learn and develop a true love for “the beautiful game”. The recent World Cup has only highlighted footballs appeal and we continue to receive a high number of enquiries.
With numbers in mind, I’m delighted to share that, for the first time in our history, we will have teams running concurrently from U9s through to U15s. This ensures that all our young players will now play against their peer group. That said, we will continue to look at opportunities for players to ‘play up’ or support older age groups where possible/needed, and which will support players on their development pathways. N.B. we saw the benefit of this first hand in the 2025/26 season and will continue to be in our minds going forwards.
To deliver our ethos, and to manage the growing number of young people we see, the club has a strong, consistent and dedicated Committee (with details below) supported ably by the coaches from R&R Sports Coaching!
It is a partnership that’s been in place since inception and an important relationship which ensures that the club has the appropriate infrastructure to support our current members but also to enable future growth. We thank our Committee members and all at R&R for their committed time and support and know that the club will continue to move forward in very safe hands and am excited about what more we can achieve! Thank you, All!!
This thanks extends to the respective teams where we see additional support
However, we do request that any parents/volunteers who wish to support the club further make themselves known to one of the managers or one of the Committee.
Communication Tool
As a club, we continue to use the Teamo app for club registration and club updates. Please can you ensure that all club members (players and parents/carers) are registered within this system to ensure it is easy for the club to communicate.

Membership
Due to the current climate, and in order to provide more certainty to everybody on training times (please see below in ‘Training’ section), the club Committee has applied an uplift to both the registration and training fees for the 2026/27 season.
It is a necessary amendment in order to meet all of the growing running costs of our club. We appreciate your understanding with this. The revised fees are as follows : -
Club registration* £45
Training Cost £9 / session
Sibling rate £4.50 / session
*this fee is applicable to those players playing development/league football on Sundays only.
We will continue to invoice parents on a termly basis and will raise 3 invoices over the season. Please note the first invoice will be visible in Teamo shortly so ask that these are settled ASAP and by 30 September at the latest.
Please note, any players who haven’t paid membership or discussed an arrangement with the club by the above date will not be permitted to train or play with the club.
We are obviously keen to avoid this situation and ask anyone wanting to explore more flexible payment terms speaks with or email our club secretary, Chris Ennis. Please don’t hesitate to ask – we are happy to try and accommodate your requests to help make things easier.
Payments
You are able to pay via the Teamo app which uses GoCardless. There is a small amount of admin associated with setting this up, so please do be prepared for this.
If you use this method, the club pays a small transaction fee, so an alternate approach is direct payments using the following bank details:
Account Name : Hursley Youth FC
Sort Code : 230580
Account Number : 38571249
Bank : Metro Bank
Please use your child’s full name as reference in order that we can update our records.
Training and Matches
Due to the growth of our club, training will (continue to) take place on Thursday and Friday evenings and Saturday mornings.
To provide consistency, and acknowledging the adverse weather that we saw in the early part of 2026, we have decided to split training between IBM (Hursley) and Ganger Farm.
Training will return from Thursday 20th August.
Our intention is to facilitate training from then as follows
Thu/Fri evening teams
Saturday morning teams
Your team manager will communicate training times to groups using WhatsApp and these sessions will also be visible on Teamo and our website
In adopting this approach, there is an uplift in pitch fees by using the Ganger Farm facility.
Please note that each training session is split into age group/teams and is supported by the fantastic coaches of R&R Sports Coaching, led by their founder Rob Elliott. We are grateful for all of the help, support and guidance that is received and acknowledge that we would not have seen the success we have without them! Thank you Rob, Ash and all coaches at R&R!
Matches for all age groups will be played on Sundays
Players, according to our club code of conduct, are expected to arrive promptly and be ready to represent our club to the best of their ability.
The FA asks that all spectators stand on the opposite side to the Managers and stand back from the edge of the pitch behind the “respect line”.
We want everyone to enjoy the games, whilst following the FA and our own guidelines.
During games, we ask that spectators cheer and celebrate good play and provide words of encouragement for both teams, but DO NOT try to manage or coach!
Any instruction the player needs will come from the Managers and following the training the teams are receiving.
Thank you in advance for your support !!
